How Appletree Printing is Environmental Friendly

Appletree Printing has been in business for over 20 years and a lot has changed in this time. Through the years, we have spent more time focusing on managing our business in a way that impacts the environment in a friendly, positive, and thoughtful manner. We are now paying a lot more attention to environmental issues and we have implemented the following Environmental Policy:

• Almost 100% of our paper purchases are from paper companies that harvest trees from decades-old tree farms specifically planted, harvested, and replanted to provide an ongoing source of paper pulp. These tree farms not only ensure a sustainable, ongoing paper supply but also assure that the land they use will remain undeveloped for other commercial purposes. The two most well known companies we deal with are FSC and SFI. Check out their information if you are interested in learning more.


• 100% of our paper is recycled.


• We often use recycled papers and encourage our clients to do the same.


• The biodegradable inks and toners we use are also recyclable.


• We use chemicals and solvents that are nearly 100% water soluble, biodegradable, and recyclable. They are usually more expensive, but we consider these products to be an informed investment.


• Our metal offset press plates are recycled to a local metal recycler.


• Anything and everything that can possiblily be recycle and or reused, is done so in their respective manner.


• We have implemented plans to minimize the use of all raw materials and to reduce our electrical consumption.
